CARAM Asia General Assembly
General Assembly 13 Nov 2011 GA will convene all three Taskforces (Migrant Workers Rights, Migration Health and HIV, Migration Development and Globalization) to report on and finalise programmatic, budgetary and concrete mechanisms for the implementation of Strategic Plan. It will also provide platform for all members to share experiences, discuss and build perspectives on related thematic areas.

Regional Consultation On Migrant Workers’ Access To Justice” On 14th November 2011.
The main objectives of Consultation are:
•To share migrant worker’s rights violation and violence cases and case studies with Chairperson of UN Committee on Migrant Workers to get his attention on the current scenario;
•To frame a rights based approach around Migrant Worker’ s access to justice at various levels
•To highlight discriminatory policies and practices with regard to MW’s Right to Redress and Access to Justice particularly in receiving countries;

“Regional Consultation On Women Migrants And Participation To ASEAN” On 15th November 2011.
This meeting is being organised as a plan:
•To advocate for greater regulatory protections for women migrants especially FDWs using the CEDWA General Comment 26 as a guideline for ASEAN regional policies;
•To strengthen inter-sectoral engagement and cross movement building by integrating FDWs issues in women’s movements, migrants and human rights movements;
•To empower FDWs and their associations to speak up for their rights
