State-to-state deal to send workers to Malaysia

Country's private recruiting agencies Wednesday threatened to stop manpower exports unless the government rescinds its decision to send Bangladeshi workers to Malaysia under a state-to-state arrangement. Bangladesh Association of International Recruiting Agencies (BAIRA) made the declaration Wednesday at a press conference at a city hotel. BAIRA president Shah Jalal Mojumder said if the manpower authority does not change its decision immediately and stop propaganda about the manpower agents, they will stop sending manpower abroad.
